Registering traders and shopkeepers
The plan requires registration from all traders and shopkeepers operating from fixed business premises, including offices, warehouses, shops, and similar locations inside civil bounds, including cantonments. Starting on April 1, 2024, merchants will be able to register.
Introducing in 6 cities
The program has the potential to grow after being introduced in six major cities: Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, and Peshawar. Monthly advance tax payments under the Tajir Dost Scheme will begin on July 1, 2024, with the first payment due on July 15, 2024. The FBR’s web portal or the Tajir Dost module will generate a Payment Slip ID (PSID), which may be used to make convenient payments using a dedicated computerized system. Subsequent payments are scheduled to be due on the 15th of each following month, according to a private news station.
Tax Facilitation Centers of FBR in 2024
If you want to register, the Tax Facilitation Centers of FBR are the place to go. April 30 is the deadline for registering under the program. According to the notification, eligible people who fail to apply for registration will be registered under the scheme by the Commissioner of Inland Revenue.
