The government is launching a three thousand pink scooter bike program. In honor of Women’s Day, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the recently elected chief minister of Punjab, has initiated the Women on Wheels program to provide facilities to women. Women will receive pink bikes as part of this program. Approximately 3000 motorcycles will be given to women in four province districts as part of this program. Rawalpindi, Multan, Lahore, and Sargodha will receive these motorcycles.
Eligibility Criteria
- You must be between 18 and 40 to be eligible for the Women in Wheels program. You will not be eligible for this program if you are younger than 18 or older than 40.
- You must be a resident of one of Punjab’s four designated districts—Rawalpindi, Multan, Lahore, or Sargodha—to be eligible for the Women in Wales program. If you are not, you will not be accepted.
- Since this program is exclusively for women, only women may be eligible.
27,000 Down Payment
The Punjab government will offer a special motorcycle subsidy of Rs. 24975 as part of this program. The Pakistani government will cover the full markup on pink bikes for women. A down payment of Rs. 27,000 will be required from female applicants. The remaining amount will be paid in convenient monthly installments of Rs. 1856, which can be completed in as little as one year.
