The objective of the e-Rozgaar training program is to teach young people about working freelance. The program, which came mostly from the Government of Punjab, helped young people earn a steady internet revenue. On November 13, 2017, the Institute of Education and Research, University of the Punjab, and the Punjab government, working with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PTIB) and the Youth Affairs and Sports Department, built a lab at the institution.
As a part of the Institute of Education and Research, the e-Rozgaar Center is now developed. Students from the University of the Punjab as well as those from other colleges and universities may apply in eleven certificate programs presented by the e-Rozgaar Center. It helps potential independent contractors develop their professional abilities by offering them training. Youth can earn an ongoing income through this initiative. Providing children with chances for internet-based freelance work as an avenue of self-employment is one of the project’s primary objectives.

E-Rozgaar Scheme Achievements
The Department of Youth Affairs, Sports, Archaeology, and Tourism (YASAT) and the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) work
together on the E-Rozgaar Training Program. 43 training centers are currently being set up throughout Punjab as part of the e-Rozgaar Training Program, where 16-year-old unemployed youngsters get hands-on training in digital skills and freelancing. So far, e-Rozgaar has educated more than 38,000 people effectively. After training, a sample of our former students’ verified reported profits on different online platforms to date exceed PKR 6.3 billion. This initiative is a revolution instead of simply a training program that will help create jobs and get Pakistan ready to succeed in the global labor market of the future.
