The Benazir Kafalat Program, part of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), is the Pakistani government’s unconditional cash distribution initiative. Under the initiative, women and transgender people living in extreme poverty in all of Pakistan’s districts receive stipends of 10,500 rupees every three months. Funds are disbursed by biometric verification at ATMs, specially designated retail locations nationwide, and partner banks’ dedicated facilities.
Ineligible People
The Benazir Kafalat Program is not appropriate for the following individuals:
- Those who pay taxes and file returns.
- Those who drive cars.
- Those who work for the government and its partners.
- Those who have previously traveled abroad.
Documents Required
The following documents must be shown at the registration facility for you to take part in the survey:
- Original CNIC issued by NADRA
- B-Form/Child Registration Certificate (CRC) issued by NADRA
- and Gas and Electricity Bills (if applicable, if residential gas and electricity are connected).
Registration Procedure
The following is the process for taking part in the BISP Dynamic Survey:
- Visit the adjacent BISP Tehsil Office (BTO).
- Find the office’s Dynamic Survey Registration Desk and join the line.
- Present the BISP agent at the desk with your child’s CRC and B-Form.
- You will receive a token for a “New Survey” or “Update Survey” from the BISP representative.
- After receiving the token, you’ll be taken to a waiting area, where you can wait for your number to be called to enter the registration room and complete your survey.
- When the call comes for you, proceed to the Registration Room.
- The data entry operator in the room will fill out a form and inquire about your socioeconomic situation.
- After completing the form, your thumbprint will be collected to confirm the accuracy of the information you entered.
- After completing the survey, you will receive an SMS from 8171 verifying your participation along with a token.
