Selection through NSER Survey
Benazir Income Support Scheme was launched in 2008 during Bhutto’s reign. According to the NSER survey, all poor and underprivileged families in Pakistan were included in the program. The 2011 NSER survey collected data on nearly 9 million households. NSER goes door to door to collect information on 27 million people. After collecting the data, NSER representatives and NADRA created a data repository. As a result, people are included in the Benazir Income Support Programme.
