Purpose of the Nigheban app
The daily notification of food bags will be updated through an application developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board. The district government, food department, and food inspectors will work together for this purpose. All The QR code of the food bags will be scanned on the ID card and sent to the relevant personnel. Eligibility screening was done through the Benazir Income Assistance Program records.
What the Nigheban Ramadan food package will contain?
Atif Raza said that the Ramadan food package will contain 10 kg of flour, rice, sugar, plain oil, and gram flour per kg. He added that the Punjab government has taken important steps to provide maximum services to citizens in the face of rising inflation. For this purpose, the Punjab government has launched the Negahban Rashan campaign i.e. Ramadan campaign.
Control room to monitor the distribution process
Atif Raza said the Relief Bureau has also set up a control room to monitor the distribution process of Negahban Rashan packets and check the quality and quantity of essential ingredients in the food bags. He asked the relevant units to make all kinds of arrangements for the timely supply of food items in various regions. All information will be collected in the principal’s office, he said. He added that the documents of families registered in the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) were examined by the Ministry of Finance staff and government officials in the city.
